However after further public comments from local sporting bodies, Mayor Whanau has now u-turned and ordered a review. College Sport Wellington CEO Bryan Dickinson joined Adam Cooper to speak about the issue, and explain the impact high fees have on kids playing sport. The group Affordable Sports for Greater Wellington asked council candidates before last year's election for an independent review of pricing for the likes of football fields, basketball courts and artificial turfs. Although 13 members agreed to the pledge, a recent letter from Mayor Tory Whanau says the council will not support a review. Capital Football CEO Richard Reid joined Adam Cooper to discuss the issue.
