The Government has been issued a warning over the polytech merger - allow for more consultation or you'll face court.
Industry training body skills active has told Education Minister Chris Hipkins they will consider taking him to the high court, for what they believe is a breach of a legitimate expectation to be consulted with properly.
One of its directors is also preparing claims, alleging the shakeup breaches the Treaty of Waitangi.
