Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has admitted his love for ChatGPT, specifically how it praises him.

In an interview wth Al Arabiya English, Johnson said he asks the AI tool questions and likes when it calls him brilliant or clever in response.

鈥淐hatGPT always says: 鈥極h, your questions are clever. You鈥檙e brilliant, you鈥檙e excellent, you have such insight鈥... I love it.鈥

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has admitted his love for ChatGPT and said he uses it while writing his books.

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has admitted his love for ChatGPT and said he uses it while writing his books.

Speaking of the tool in general, Johnson said, 鈥淥ne thing that really encourages me is AI. I love AI. I love ChatGPT. I love it. ChatGPT is frankly fantastic.鈥

Johnson said he uses the artificial intelligence tool while writing his 鈥渧arious books鈥.

The former Mayor of London released a memoir titled Unleashed in October last year.

Following the release of the book, he visited New Zealand to promote it and spoke at an event in Auckland.

鈥淚 feel so fortunate, to be in this mind-numbingly, lovely place. Full of rugby-playing hobbits, carrying pianos up the mountains, that sort of thing,鈥 he said during his speech.

The 61-year-old also mentioned AI in his Auckland speech, as he said: 鈥淲ho believes that鈥檚 a threat? We鈥檙e far too smart. It鈥檚 not going to put anyone out of work, people just find other jobs. Show me a single lawyer who has been put out of work.鈥

Before last year, he visited New Zealand in 2017 in his role as foreign secretary, where he described the country as 鈥渢he most mind-blowingly, mind-numbingly beautiful country鈥.

Johnson, the British Prime Minister from 2019-2022, was involved in many controversies during his time in power, including the partygate scandal.

During the Al Arabiya English interview, Johnson said AI technology has 鈥済reat promise鈥 to help reduce costs associated with caring for people, including the elderly and disabled.
