Nelson police have called off the search for a man originally thought to be missing at Tahunanui Beach.
Search and rescue were alerted after a man entered the water just after 7-pm on Saturday, leaving his jandals behind.
Police now say there's no further information to suggest someone is missing and believe he may have come out out of the water somewhere else.
