A hikoi arrives at Waitangi today, calling for deep sea oil drilling companies to leave Northland.
Protest organisers says there's no point targeting the politicians over the issue, as they've ignored previous submissions.
But they want to send a message directly to the company Statoil that they're not welcome.
Campaigner Mike Smith says the Far North is already feeling the effects of climate change, and they don't want to be involved with fossil fuels.
"There's no advantage to us, there's no jobs, there's no economic benefits," he says.
"The Statoil company gets ninety-five percent of the profit and we get one hundred percent of the risk should anything go wrong."
