
Solomon Islands Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele was welcomed to Parliament this morning with a military guard of honour and p艒whiri.
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, his wife Amanda and Speaker of the House Gerry Brownlee met Manele and his entourage on the Parliamentary forecourt.

A short p艒whiri was followed by a military guard of honour and performance from the brass band.
Manele鈥檚 last visited New Zealand in 2022, when he was Solomon Islands Foreign Minister.

He will also visit Foreign Minister Winston Peters and Oceans and Fisheries Minister Shane Jones.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon said he was looking at furthering the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
鈥淚t will also be good to hear about Solomon Islands鈥 plans for hosting the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting in September.
