Labour's new man in the north could find himself the target of protests at Waitangi today, after knocking Hone Harawira out of Parliament.
Te Tai Tokerau MP Kelvin Davis will accompany his leader Andrew Little to Te Tii Marae for annual discussions with Maori.
Mr Davis says he's unfazed about getting a hard time from Harawira loyalists.
"A lot of people stay away from Te Tii Marae because they can't be blowed anymore with the nonsense that goes on," he says.
"There's a small group of people that capture centre-stage, but I'll just smile and wave at them."
