The party is concerned people with wealth are able to get preferential treatment under current systems.
MP David Clendon is challenging the government to take action.
"Will the minister consider supporting the Green Party's request that he justice an electoral select committee for an inquiry into the accessibility of justice in New Zealand."
Cabinet Minister Simon Bridges says legal aid is there for those who most need it, and support is available people who self represent.
