One NZ says it will remove the woman who publicised Winston Peters鈥 address online from its ads following a window at his home being smashed.

Acacia O鈥機onnor, an actor who appears in current One NZ ads, was one of a crowd of pro-Palestine protesters outside the Foreign Minister鈥檚 Auckland home last week, which she livestreamed online and publicised Peters鈥 address.

Yesterday evening, a window at Peters鈥 home was smashed. A 29-year-old man has been charged with burglary and is set to appear in court on Friday.

In a statement, One NZ head of sustainability Nicky Preston said the company didn鈥檛 support any activity that put people at risk.

鈥淲e don鈥檛 back any behaviour that puts people鈥檚 safety at risk.

鈥淲hat鈥檚 happened doesn鈥檛 line up with our values, so we鈥檙e taking the character out of our advertising.鈥

Preston said the company would be 鈥渞eviewing and replacing鈥 current adverts as well as future ads, which could take time 鈥渄epending on the channel鈥.

O鈥機onnor has been approached for comment.

Earlier today, Finance Minister Nicola Willis said she expected One NZ would 鈥渢ake another look鈥 at its advertisements that feature O鈥機onnor.

Willis also implored Green Party co-leader Chl枚e Swarbrick to 鈥渃all the dogs off鈥, given Swarbrick stood alongside O鈥機onnor at a press conference yesterday concerning New Zealanders who had been detained by Israel.

Asked whether O鈥機onnor鈥檚 presence in the ads was a bad look for the company, Willis said: 鈥淚鈥檓 sure that One NZ will want to take another look at that.鈥

Labour MP and media spokesman Reuben Davidson acknowledged it had the 鈥減otential to be a bad look鈥.

鈥淲ell, potentially it is, but I mean they鈥檙e a commercial company, it鈥檚 up to them to decide who they want in their campaigns and how they manage that.鈥

On the incident concerning Peters鈥 home, Willis said it was 鈥渁ppalling鈥 for protesters to congregate outside politicians鈥 homes and encouraged Swarbrick to use her platform to reiterate that message.

鈥淭hey are innocent bystanders in this and I think it shows a really appalling lack of human decency to engage in this sort of behaviour,鈥 Willis said.

鈥淵ou know what Chl枚e Swarbrick could do today? If she agrees with me, she should call the dogs off and tell those protesters to stop protesting outside politicians鈥 homes.鈥

Swarbrick has been approached for comment but earlier said she condemned the incident concerning Peters鈥 home.
