One person has been seriously injured at an incident at the Mount Maunganui wharves.
A spokesperson said St John was notified of a workplace incident on Hull Rd about 9.17am.
An ambulance, rapid response unit, and operations manager attended.
鈥淥ne patient, in a serious condition, is being transported to Tauranga Hospital.鈥
A Port of Tauranga media spokeswoman confirmed emergency services attended an incident at the Mount Maunganui wharves.
鈥淚 don鈥檛 have any other details yet as Port of Tauranga staff [were] not involved,鈥 she said.
A Maritime NZ spokesman said it was aware of the incident and it had staff onsite working to understand what had happened.
