
A worker has been seriously injured at a construction site in Bayswater.
Emergency services were called to a site on Roberts Ave at 11.15am.
At this stage, it appears one person has suffered serious injuries, a police spokesperson said.
Witnesses said they counted 12 emergency vehicles at the scene.
WorkSafe New Zealand said they were notified of the construction incident this morning.
A spokesperson said they were making initial inquiries to understand the circumstances.
Construction has among the highest rates of acute and chronic harm, WorkSafe NZ said.
