One person was rescued after a car after it hit a building on Waih墨 Rd at 1.30pm this afternoon.
鈥淭he person was safely extricated from the vehicle,鈥 a spokesperson from Fire and Emergency New Zealand said.
Brigades from Waih墨 and Mayor View (Waih墨 Beach) attended, with three fire engines at the scene.
鈥淲e have since left, and the person is now in the care of St John.鈥
An ambulance and one rapid response unit attended, a Hato Hone St John spokesperson said.
鈥淥ne patient, in moderate condition, is being transported to Thames Hospital.鈥
Police said that there were no road closures at this stage.
