Part of State Highway 2 is closed at Maramarua due to a two-truck crash.
A police spokesperson said they were called around 11.42am.
鈥淭wo people have sustained serious injuries and are being assisted by emergency services.

Diversions are in place from Monument Rd to Heaven Rd and motorists should expect delays.
NZ Transport Agency said the road was closed in both directions between Monument and Okaeria Rds.
鈥淭he road is expected to remain closed for some time so delay travel or be prepared to detour.鈥
