A Christchurch teenager has appeared in court charged with attacking an elderly man in New Brighton Mall early yesterday morning.
19-year-old Resham Blake-Faatafa has been charged with two counts of intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
A 72-year-old man was found on the footpath in the mall just before 2am with serious facial injuries.
Blake-Faatafa was remanded in custody until next Thursday.
