The Ministry of Social Development鈥檚 office in Masterton is in lockdown again, little more than a week after a firearms incident at the building.
Police are currently guarding the MSD offices on Lincoln Rd, with staff under lockdown.
鈥淎t around 12pm, police received reports of a threat made to staff at a premises on Lincoln Rd in Masterton,鈥 police said.
鈥淪taff there chose to go into lockdown.鈥
There did not appear to be any immediate threat to safety, police said.
Police were 鈥渇ollowing lines of inquiry in relation to the individual who made the threats鈥.
Last week, a 25-year-old man was arrested after police received reports a gun had been fired at somebody in Masterton鈥檚 MSD office about 12.40pm on May 5.
Nobody was injured in the incident, police said.
