The Hamilton City Council says the Chiefs are indicating they want to say sorry to some of its parking wardens.
The women were giving out warning notices when they were verbally abused by players this week.
The council says it's had talks with the Chiefs, and officials there are disappointed.
But it says the wardens want to put it behind them.
Chiefs bosses have said the comments weren't meant for the women.
It's another shadow over how Chiefs players treat women after last year's stripper scandal.
