A Manawat奴 supermarket is waiting for New Zealand鈥檚 newest millionaire to claim their prize.

While last night鈥檚 $5 million Lotto Powerball jackpot was not struck, one lucky punter has netted a $1m First Division prize.

The winning ticket was sold at Four Square Milson in Palmerston North.

A worker at Four Square Milson told the Herald that while they hadn鈥檛 yet heard from the winner, Lotto has been contacted and they are now waiting for the First Division prize to be claimed in-store.

It isn鈥檛 just the million-dollar win being celebrated today.

Two Strike players also won $350,000 each last night, with one of the winning tickets sold at Pak鈥檔Save Whakat膩ne in Whakat膩ne and the other through the MyLotto app to a player from Christchurch.

Since it wasn鈥檛 struck, Powerball has rolled over to Wednesday, with a $6 million jackpot up for grabs that night.

Saturday night鈥檚 numbers were 18, 17, 32, 27, 6 and 40. The bonus ball is 39 and Powerball 9.

How winning punters thought they were in the money

The draw comes just days after an 艑p艒tiki couple claimed a $12.5m Lotto jackpot.

After claiming their prize, they said they had a hunch they might have the winning ticket 鈥 and couldn鈥檛 fall asleep until they had checked it.

The couple, who do not want to be named, said they were coming to terms with landing the rich prize and 鈥渟till can鈥檛 wrap our heads around it鈥.

鈥淲e were about to go to sleep, but I suddenly had this feeling that I just had to check it,鈥 the man said.

He checked the MyLotto app and, when he saw the numbers, he got 鈥渟traight up in bed and shouted, 鈥榊ou鈥檝e got to be kidding me!鈥

鈥淚t felt we were in a dream 鈥 like maybe we had actually fallen asleep and none of it was real. We just kept saying to each other ... 鈥楢re we going to wake up now?鈥欌

The couple said they struggled to sleep that night after the big news.

The man said he usually slept well but after finding out they had won, he 鈥渃ouldn鈥檛 sleep at all that night, or the night after鈥.

Now that the win has been claimed, the couple said they would be taking some time to think about what the money meant for them and their family.

鈥淥f course, we want to help our families, but we don鈥檛 know what that looks like yet.

鈥淲e still can鈥檛 wrap our heads around it. It鈥檚 going to take a while to process before we make any decisions.鈥
