One person has died after a two-car collision near central Invercargill this morning.
Police said emergency services responded to the crash at the Bluff Highway intersection with Kew Rd about 6am.
鈥淪adly, one occupant died at the scene and there were no other injuries involved.鈥
Hato Hone St John sent one ambulance, one manager and one rapid response vehicle.
The highway remains closed with diversions in place while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene.
