
Police say a shooting in Murupara happened at a private dwelling and no arrests have been made yet.
A man was shot in the leg on Saturday and taken to Waikato Hospital, where he was in a stable condition, police said yesterday.
Police today said the incident happened at a 鈥減rivate dwelling鈥 and no one else was injured.
鈥淭he scene address was secured and held overnight and that included blocking the road directly in front of the scene,鈥 a spokesperson said.
鈥淭here have been no arrests or charges brought in relation to this incident, so far.鈥
Detective Sergeant Phil Wilkinson said police searched a nearby address and the occupants were helping with inquiries.
鈥淧olice ask for any information regarding a male seen in the area of Pine Drive, Murupara, between 12pm and 2pm [on Saturday], wearing a green coat/jacket and gumboots,鈥 Wilkinson said.
