UPDATED 11:01am: A crowd-funding website hopes donations raised for Lucy Knight are a sign of things to come.
More than $260,000 has been raised for the Auckland woman, after she received brain injuries intervening in a hand-bag snatch at a North Shore supermarket.
The Spark Foundation's Lynne Le Gros says it shows the potential of their Givealittle site.
She says small donations have made the world of difference on the crowd-funding site.
"People really seem to get that...
"That if they give what they can afford that will all add up to something."
