Another sand product is being urgently recalled after it tested positive for asbestos.

Initial testing of the Miki Sand Art Set found unidentified mineral fibres that were consistent with asbestos.

Over 570 units of the Miki Sand Art Set were sold nationwide between July 2023 and December 2023, according to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) website.

The ministry said the product is being recalled as a precaution because it could contain asbestos.

鈥淥ur advice is that people stop using this product immediately and follow the relevant advice for safe containment and disposal,鈥 MBIE said.
