An amber alert has been issued for a 7-year-old Hamilton boy.
Police said Tyrese walked off from his Anderson Rd home in Deanwell at 4pm yesterday.
He told his family he was going to walk down the road to visit a friend, which he often did.
However, he did not return home.
鈥淧olice have checked addresses of known friends without success. There are no nearby family members and no local parks in the immediate area.鈥
He was last seen wearing bright orange shorts, a black T-shirt featuring a blue dragon design on the front, and turquoise Crocs.
He is M膩ori, is around 130cm tall with brown eyes and medium-length black hair.
Police said he had a medical condition that does not require medication.
鈥淭hey were expected to attend school tomorrow, making their absence unusual.鈥
