It鈥檚 the latest in a string of incidents involving the Interislander fleet, including听Aratere suffering a reported steering failure听on June 21 and running aground in Picton shortly after. It only听returned to full service late last听month.听

Repairs on Aratere鈥檚 stern were progressing well, he said.听
鈥淲e need to insert new plating, then have the repair approved. We will put on additional sailings to manage capacity if required and are contacting customers directly.鈥听
