There are reports that ANZ鈥檚 mobile application is down.

More than 1000 reports of issues with the banking app have been lodged on the Downdetector website.

ANZ has apologised to customers for the inconvenience and says it is trying to fix the issue.

Anyone needing to make urgent payments should phone the bank鈥檚 contact centre on 0800 269 269, a spokeswoman told the Herald.

鈥淲e are aware that some customers are currently experiencing intermittent issues logging into goMoney and internet banking,鈥 the spokeswoman said.

鈥淥ur team are currently working through a higher number of calls; we apologise for the inconvenience to our customers and appreciate their patience as we work to resolve the issue.

鈥淭he team are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.鈥

ATMs, Eftpos and PayWave are 鈥渨orking fine鈥, the spokeswoman said. Account balances and funds are not impacted, she said.

ANZ did not respond to the Herald鈥榮 questions on what the issue appeared to be.

One customer showed the Herald a screenshot of an error message on the app this afternoon.

鈥淎NZ connection lost. ANZ goMoney has lost network connection. Please restart the app to continue,鈥 the message read.

The customer also said there was a 鈥渟pinning wheel of death鈥 on the application鈥檚 loading page.

Another customer showed the Herald a screenshot from the app saying logging in was 鈥渢emporarily unavailable. Please hang tight, or come back later, while we fix this for you鈥.
