When the first three episodes of the Sussexes鈥 Netflix series aired, Meghan鈥檚 half-brother Thomas Markle Jr said watching it felt like his sister had 鈥渂rushed his family under the carpet鈥.
And according to a new interview with Kiwi radio hosts Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce on The Hits today, the former lighting director still feels that way.
鈥淚鈥檓 going to stick to my guns on that. It鈥檚 basically like an extended version of that horrible Oprah interview,鈥 the 56-year-old said.
Markle went on to say that the producers of the Netflix series and of the 2021 Oprah interview should have 鈥済otten both sides of the story鈥 - something he promises to offer with his own documentary set for release in 2023 鈥渢o set all this straight鈥.
Asked by the radio hosts whether he wanted an apology or reconciliation with Meghan, Markle replied that he doesn鈥檛 鈥渨ant anything from her鈥.
鈥淚 don鈥檛 want anything from her. Nobody in that family has ever asked her for anything. She started this whole charade ... and me and the Markles will finish it,鈥 he added.
He went on to say that he and his family didn鈥檛 sign up for the media attention, but that Meghan 鈥渒new what she was signing up for鈥 when it came to paparazzi and learning royal protocol.
鈥淵ou sign your rights away when you鈥檙e part of the royal family,鈥 he claimed.

鈥淒eal with it or move on. So that鈥檚 what they did, they moved on and then they complained about it.鈥

Elsewhere in the chat with the Hits hosts, Markle revealed he felt 鈥渄isgusted鈥 when Meghan spoke of asking King Charles to walk her down the aisle at her wedding because she was estranged from her father.
He told Jono and Ben that Thomas Sr, who was in hospital at the time of the wedding, now 鈥渉as his ups and downs, good days, bad days鈥, but 鈥渉e鈥檚 okay鈥.
Markle said it was 鈥渉ard to say鈥 whether viewers are seeing who Meghan really is in the docuseries.
鈥淪he鈥檚 an actress. She鈥檚 been acting her whole life.鈥
Markle went on to agree with popular opinion that the release of the doco would scupper any chances of reconciliation with the royals.
鈥淚t鈥檚 destroying any chance they had to make amends with the royal family.鈥
