Police have arrested a man they say fled after an apparent sword attack in south Auckland.
They were called to an address in Paerata this afternoon where they found two women with serious injuries.
A 19-year-old man was found soon after, driving onto the motorway at Papakura.
Police pursued the man to Te Irirangi Drive where they say he drove over a grass median strip and crashed.
He'll appear in court tomorrow facing various charges relating to the assault and driving.
