The 23-year-old who led police on a 50 kilometre chase past schools and busy roads faces three additional charges.
Geraldine local Kyle James Clarke appeared via video link in Christchurch District Court this morning for an application for bail.
He is charged with a range of driving offences, including new charges of criminal damage to a fence, breach of release conditions and trespassing.
On September 15, eye witnesses claimed the driver of a green 4WD drove on the wrong side of a busy Main North Rd near Woodend School, before allegedly sideswiping a mother's vehicle who was on the school run.
Police allege the driver went through road blocks, roadworks, a golf course, private houses, and a riverbank before he was caught.
Clarke will remain in custody until his next appearance October 6.
