A busy time for business owners are making a range of sacrifices to meet their reporting obligations, including missing family events, cancelling planned holidays and requiring extra childcare.
The latest MYOB survey shows half of the country's small to medium size business operators sacrificing their spare time, spending hours on preparing paperwork for the end of financial year.
Spokesman Scott Gardiner says the survey highlights the extra workload they have to shoulder to meet compliance responsibilities.
He says business operators in the retail and hospitality sector, and the logistics industry, are most likely to have put in extra hours .
