Around 250 houses on Auckland's North Shore are without power, and could be in the dark for a few hours to come.
A spokesperson for Vector Energy says crews are on site at Forest Hill to fix the outage, and while an ETA has been given of 11:30pm it's likely to be solved before then.
It's believed a tree hitting power lines may be the cause.
